The Memorial Park is set to welcome some of the world’s best golfers in preparation for the upcoming Master tournament with a newly renovated golf course. The Houston Open 2020 is returned to Memorial Park for the first time since the beginning of the sixties.
The Houston Open is one of the more than ten-year tournaments of the Masters. It was played one week prior to the 11th big season of 2007-18.
The officials of the tournaments made great strides in making the conditions in the Houston Golf Club nearly comparable to those players facing at Augusta National in the coming season, but the first edition was held on the current Memorial Park Golf Course in the neighboring center of Houston this year.
The Memorial Park Golf Course will relocate in 2020. The PGA Tour announced changes on the schedule of the 2020-21 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic and moved the Houston Open to the Master’s Tournament on the 5th and 8th of November one week.
Houston Open 2020 Venue
The tournament was initially set for November 9-15, a room now dubbed “foreseen dates” for the Masters as the golf community is trying to rescue an outlook from the pandemic of COVID-19.
In 2019, the Houston Open was taken over by the Assistant Golf Society, which held the first tournament at Houston Golf Club in October. In 2020, the Memorial Park Golf Course will be moved to its new location.
